Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

For more information about these opportunities, contact our Community Service Coordinator, Megan McClelland!

Saturdays, May 4th, 11th, and 18th

Miracle League of the North Bay

Miracle League is a non-profit organization created for and dedicated to providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in an organized baseball league that celebrates their spirit in a non-competitive atmosphere. Volunteer “buddies” are needed for their Spring season! Buddies are paired up with a player for each game. The buddy is there to protect the player from balls, assist the player in batting and running the bases (if needed), and to be a friend on and off the field. Buddies are responsible for their individual player from the time of introduction until the player is back in the care of their parent/guardian. Games are at Lucchesi Park, beginning at 11am.

Saturdays in April and May

Food for Thought - Food Drive Ambassadors

Food For Thought’s Food Drive Program is integral to our ability to serve our 700+ clients living with HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses. We provide free weekly groceries supplements, nutrition classes and congregate meals three days a week.

Each month, on Saturdays, volunteers conduct food drives outside the doors of local markets. Food drive volunteers offer flyers to shoppers as they enter the door, asking them to buy extra items while they shop and then receive the donations in bins as the shoppers exit.
