Thank you to everyone who participated in our first Oscars Pool, and congratulations to the winners! We hope you’ll join us again in 2020!

Calling all movie buffs!

Oscars Night is almost here, and if you are looking for an extra excuse to watch the telecast, join Petaluma Active 20-30’s first Oscars Pool challenge! This is a great way to support under-served children in the Petaluma area- and possibly take home prize money for yourself in the process! The Oscar nominees won’t be the only winners on Sunday, February 24th, 2019!

How the pool works: Complete and submit the ballot with your picks to win. There is no limit to the amount of ballots you can submit. All categories are multiple choice, and you must select an answer for each category. The “standings” will be updated live throughout the Oscar ceremony and displayed in the table at the bottom of this page.

All awards are not created equal - The points values are as follows:

The cost and payouts: The cost per ballot is $20. 50% of the entry fees will be held by Petaluma Active 20-30 to support the children in our community, and the remaining 50% will be divided among the winners:

  • 4th Place: $20

  • 3rd Place: $50

  • 2nd Place: $100

  • 1st Place: The remainder of the 50%.

For example, if 50 ballots are submitted, the total entries is $1000. $500 would go to the club, $170 total between 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners, and $330 to the overall winner. If there are ties, the prize money will be divided evenly between the tied ballots.

How to pay for a ballot: Payment can be submitted to the Petaluma Active 20-30 club via:

  • Paypal -

  • Venmo- @petaluma2030

  • Cash or Check to a Petaluma #30 member

If payment is not received within 24 hours of submitting a ballot, the submission will be forfeited.

At 3pm PST on Oscars Day (February 24th, 2019) voting will close and be locked from any changes.
